The Lake County Sheriff's Department received an accident report on Monday morning from a location about 1 mile northwest of Chester.
At 9:06 a.m., sheriff's personnel responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of 240th St. and 463rd Ave. just south of Brant Lake.
The investigators determined that a 15-year-old female was driving north on 463rd Ave. and met another vehicle traveling east on 240th St. The teenage driver failed to stop at the intersection, and her pickup hit a second pickup driven by Megan Hoffman, 22, of Wentworth.
The teenager was issued a traffic citation for failing to stop.
The 15-year-old was driving a 2003 GMC Sierra pickup that received about $6,500 in collision damage. Hoffman was driving a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup, and damage to the Ford was estimated at $6,000.
