Nunda firefighters responded to a Tuesday afternoon emergency call to extinguish a grass fire about 7 miles southeast of Nunda that reignited from a previous controlled burn.
At about 4 p.m., firefighters were called to a slough located at 46535 225th St. where a controlled burn had flared up. Nunda Fire Chief Dan Hansen reported that two grass rigs were sent to the scene in the southeastern corner of Summit Township.
Hansen said that only grass was burned at the scene located near the residence of Tyler Bothern. No injuries or major property damage was reported.
He added that the firefighters spent about an hour at the scene.
