Dakota State University Lady T's basketball coach Jeff Dittman has announced the signing of Rachelle Moore to join the program this fall.
Moore, a 5-foot-6 point guard from Sanborn Central High, was named to the All-Conference first team three times in both `281' and Custer Battlefield Highway conferences.
She was selected as the `281' Conference tournament's most valuable player. She averaged 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals per game at Sanborn Central. She holds the school records in most assists in a season and in a game. In addition, she holds the school record for most steals in a single season.
Moore was selected to play in the Southeast All-Star game and the 3-Class Shootout game. She earned Academic All-State, A Honor Roll and Student of the Month honors for her academic success. She was Student Council president and a member of the National Honor Society.
The daughter of Jerry and Pam Moore of Artesian, she will graduate from Sanborn Central this spring and plans to major in business management/marketing.
