SIOUX FALLS (AP) -- The executive dean of the University Center in Sioux Falls is taking a job as public affairs and communications director for the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Argus Leader reports that Mark Lee of Madison will leave his current position on Aug. 9 and begin his new job on Aug. 20. He has spent 26 years with the South Dakota public university system.
Lee will be the chamber's chief lobbyist and liaison to local government in Sioux Falls. He says he's interested in writing another significant professional chapter, and over the years he's gained experience in advocacy roles, speaking with various legislators and other officials.
Chamber chief executive and president Evan Nolte says Lee has experience working with the Legislature and a background in management and education.
