Madison firefighters on Monday afternoon responded to an emergency call involving a truck fire at a farm located on the northern outskirts of Madison.
Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said his department received the emergency call at about 5:30 p.m., asking the firefighters to go to the farmstead of Doyle Paul at 23139 455th Ave.
According to Minnaert, three fire trucks were sent to the scene, where the firefighters found a diesel semi on fire. Minnaert said the truck's damage was limited to its engine and cab, which were totaled. The semi's trailer was not damaged.
No injuries were caused by the fire and no other major property damage occurred. The firefighters returned to the Madison station by 6 p.m.
