Christine Hansen and John Cox, both of Elkton, were married on Sept. 1 at Pioneer Lutheran Church in White. The Rev. David Patterson officiated at the afternoon ceremony.
Anna Wendinger was the maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Sarah Rahn, Traci Gabrielson, Kaye Hansen and Amber Hansen.
The flower girl was Brinley Hansen.
Troy Thooft was the best man, and groomsmen were Tom Norling, Zach Hansen, Tyler Hansen and Cody Hansen.
Ushers were Kyle Morem and Dan Dornink.
A reception was held at the Elkton Community Center in Elkton.
The bride received a bachelor of science degree in animal science from South Dakota State University and her LPN from Lake Area Technical Institute. She is employed as an LPN at United Living Community in Brookings.
The bridegroom received a bachelor of science degree in ag systems technology from SDSU and works for AES Wind Generation in Lake Benton, Minn.
They spent a few days in Deadwood following the wedding and are at home in rural Elkton.
Parents of the couple are Paul and Peg Hansen of Madison and Michael and Nancy Cox of Harmony, Minn.
