The Lake County Sheriff's Department responded to a single-vehicle rollover accident that occurred on Monday morning southeast of Rutland.
At about 7:20 a.m. on March 4, David Schulz, 25, of Madison was driving alone in a 1990 Chevrolet Astro eastbound on 228th St. The accident report indicated that Schulz was driving at 45 mph in a 55 mph zone when the van left the roadway about 1/2 mile east of the 463rd Ave. intersection and went into the south ditch.
The deputy's accident report stated that the Chevrolet van rolled once and rested on the driver's side with the auto's front end pointed northwest.
The vehicle was disabled and was removed from the accident scene. Damages to the van were estimated at $2,400.
