The Rutland School board will accept the resignation of school principal Ron Swier at Monday's board meeting, which begins at 6:30 p.m.
Swier has been part-time principal at the school since 2011.
The board will also accept a letter of resignation from sixth-grade teacher Carol Swier. Also on the agenda is the consideration of a 2013-14 contract for a combined position for 6th-grade teacher and K-8 principal.
Other items on the agenda include:
-- Preliminary budget planning for 2013-14 with discussion of security systems upgrades, summer project priorities and technology purchases.
-- Discuss the agenda for the annual spring athletic co-op board meeting.
-- Discuss the preliminary school calendar for 2013-14.
-- 2013 legislation, state aid formula and federal funds affected by the sequester.
-- Review bids for a new used diesel pump at the Rambler Stop.
-- Renew lease of John Deere utility tractor from James River Equipment.
-- Motion to non-renew contract for Casey Krogman.
-- Convene in closed session for a personnel issue, student issue and contract negotiations.
