The Madison City Commission will start its meeting on Monday with an annual update from Todd Kays, executive director for First District Association of Local Governments, when the commissioners meet at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall.
The city commissioners will review a recommendation from the municipal electric advisory committee concerning a recommendation on an electric rate study.
The commissioners will consider approval of a letter to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers that provides Madison's support for participation in the corps' Silver Jackets program which assists community's with flood prevention and mitigation.
They will consider setting a bid date for contractors interested in the city's project to improve its electric distribution system.
City officials will also announce the schedule for Madison's Citywide Cleanup currently scheduled on May 13-17.
The commissioners have also scheduled an executive session to hold a discussion with legal counsel concerning proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters.
