Options for installing a central sewer system around Lake Herman will be discussed on July 2. A public meeting has been set up at the 4-H building beginning at 7 p.m.
The meeting will discuss options outlined in the latest study completed by Banner Associates. The engineering firm gave the district three options -- connecting to the city of Madison; creating a one-lagoon system; or creating a two-lagoon system.
In other news, no petitions were submitted for the open seat on the Sanitary District Board. The sole member of the board, Cory Heidelberger, indicated earlier this year that he would not be seeking re-election.
The three-member board has operated with one vacancy for a number of years. Its second board member turned in his resignation earlier this year.
