Ryan Bickett wins at I-90 Speedway

BRANDON -- The Bickett family celebrated Father's Day in the infield at Huset Speedway on Sunday night. Son Ryan Bickett won the opening heat for the 360 sprint cars, then backed it up with third place in the A Feature. Fellow townsman Joe Riedel was second in his heat and 10th in the main event. Madison's Jeremiah Jordahl was 11th in the feature and fifth in his heat race. Ryan Bickett did double duty, also driving in the 410 outlaw sprint class, where he placed ninth in the heat and 17th in the main event. Madison's Chuck McGillivray got fourth in his heat and ninth in the A Feature. Father Don Bickett, meanwhile, finished sixth in the heat race for the late model street stocks. Madison's Sam Johnson got seventh in the heat action. In the A Feature, Bickett was ninth and Johnson came home in 10th place. Nick Barger finished in fourth place in the main event for the modifieds, after finishing sixth in the preliminary race. In other weekend racing action, Ryan Bickett won his heat race in the 360 winged sprint cars at Rock Rapids, Iowa, Friday night, but was in 21st place in the main event. Jordahl was 20th in the feature after placing seventh in the heat race. On Saturday, Ryan Bickett won the A Feature race for 360 cars at I-90 Speedway west of Hartford. Riedel was fourth and Madison's Daryl Reverts finished in 16th place. In the heat races earlier in the night, Ryan Bickett placed second in his heat while Riedel was third and Reverts was fourth. In street stock action, Matt Steuerwald of Madison got fifth place and Don Bickett came home in 16th place. Meanwhile, at the State Fair Speedway in Huron on Saturday night, Ross Dixon continued to dominate the street stock division by winning the feature race ahead of Madison's Doug Van Liere, who finished in 13th place. Rick Goth got eighth in the late model main event. Other Madison drivers competing at Huron were Chris Moore, who was 11th in modified action, and Keary Clements, who got eighth in the hobby stock feature race.
