The Madison Broncos raced to an easy 15-0 win over the Canistota Rebels in Cornbelt League action on Sunday afternoon at Flynn Field.
The game was called after five innings due to the 15-run rule.
Madison scored four runs in the opening inning and never looked back. The Broncos added three runs in the second frame and four in both the third and fourth innings.
The Broncos banged out 15 hits in the contest. Trevor Johnson and Kelly Hall each had a double and a single. Johnson had two RBIs and Hall added one.
Justin Jaspers had three singles and two RBIs, while Matt Burpee and Jordan Brown each had two singles and one RBI.
Nick Bird was on the mound for the Broncos and pitched four innings. He gave up three hits and one walk and struck out three. Brown finished on the hill for Madison and gave up one hit and had one strikeout.
Madison improved to 14-3 overall and 12-3 in the Cornbelt League.
The Broncos will go to Freeman for a non-league game on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
