    Lady T's dump Trinity Bible 84-46

    ELLENDALE, N.D. -- The Dakota State Lady T's shot a blazing 54.7 percent from the field to race past Trinity Bible 84-46 on Thursday.

    With the victory, the Lady T's snapped their four-game losing streak and improved to 2-4. Trinity Bible dropped to 3-2.

    The Lady T's held the Lions to 18.8 percent shooting (6-for-32) in the first half as DSU jumped out to a 38-16 halftime advantage. DSU was 14 of 29 from the field (48.3 percent).

    DSU outscored Trinity Bible 48-31 in the second half. The Lady T's was 15 for 24 (62.5 percent) from the field compared to the Lions' 42.9 percent (12 for 28).

    Courtney Hamblin scored 15 points for the Lady T's. She was 7-for-8 from the field. Alyssa Drooger added 11 points off the bench with her 5-for-5 shooting. Courtney Hulstein had 10 points. Katy Pillar had eight points and six rebounds. Yui Onodera dished out four assists. Kylie Westover recorded eight points and three assists.

    For Trinity Bible, Aaren LaRose scored 13 points off the bench on her 5-for-13 shooting from the field. Treva Nutter added 12 points. Shianne Montgomery recorded 10 points and five steals. Kayla Droste pulled down four rebounds.

    The Lady T's made 29 of 53 field goal attempts in the game. Trinity Bible was 18 for 60 from the field (30 percent).

    DSU made 14 free throws out of 16 attempts (87.5 percent) while the Lions were 4-for-6 from the free throw line (66.7 percent).

    DSU outrebounded Trinity Bible 39-29.

    The Lady T's outscored the Lions 34-18 inside the paint.

    DSU steps out of regular-season play on Nov. 24 with an exhibition game with the University of Sioux Falls at 4 p.m. at the Stewart Center in Sioux Falls.
