Howard takes two at Tri-Valley quadrangular

The Howard Tigers wrestling team won twice at the Tri-Valley quadrangular on Tuesday night. The Tigers beat Sioux Valley 66-18 and derailed Mount Vernon-Plankinton 60-9. Tri-Valley downed the Tigers 46-33. Howard had five wrestlers who were unbeaten in the quadrangular: Bailey Neises, Adonis Ruml, Evan Donahue, Thad Henkel and Nick Pardy. Neises had a pair of pins and a decision for the night. He pinned Cole Knapp of Sioux Valley in 45 seconds and Tanner Risseeuw in 1:46. He won by a 3-0 decision over Jacob Thom of Tri-Valley. Ruml picked up a 4:34 pin against Brandon Oyen of Tri-Valley and had two forfeit wins. Donahue registered three pins for the Tigers. He pinned Eli Westendorf of Sioux Valley in 1:42; he chalked up a 2:36 pin against Mason VanVooren of Mount Vernon-Plankinton; and he pinned Dylan Eldeen of Tri-Valley in 5:09. Henkel had a 5:35 pin against Cody Heezen of Mount Vernon-Plankinton and a 5:09 pin against Riley Paige of Tri-Valley. Henkel also had a forfeit win. Pardy had two pins, a 1:39 pin over Brock Swartos of Sioux Valley and a 1:32 pin over Brady Johnson of Tri-Valley. He also picked up a forfeit win.
