    MHS Bulldogs crush Chargers 80-33

    The Madison Bulldogs crushed the Hamlin Chargers 80-33 in non-conference basketball action on Monday night at Hayti.

    The Bulldogs shot a sizzling 59 percent from the field (31 of 52) and hit 12 of 18 free throws (66 percent).

    Hamlin made just 10 of 40 field goals, 25 percent, and made 11 of 18 free throws, 61 percent.

    Madison held a huge advantage on the boards 39-19.

    Braxton Olson led a trio of double-digit scorers with 13 points for the Bulldogs. Trae VandeBerg and Jesse Brown each added 11 points while Tyler Wiebe chipped in with nine counters.

    Olson, Jacob Giles and Rush Milne all had four rebounds for the Bulldogs.

    Mason Leiseth scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds for the Chargers. Brody Grantham added five counters.

    Madison (9-1) will swing back into action on Tuesday (tonight) when the Bulldogs go to Harrisburg for a Big 8 Conference game which will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
