The Howard Tigers opened up an early lead and never looked back in posting a 60-39 win over the Marion Bears on Tuesday night at Howard.
With the win, the Tigers move to 4-0 in Cornbelt Conference action.
Howard held a 21-10 after one period and a 33-17 halftime advantage.
Howard's Steve Larsen led all scorers with 23 points. He also had four steals. Andrew Schwader added 12 counters and seven rebounds. Landon Laible had five assists.
The Tigers shot a blistering 52 percent from the field.
Nick Gortmaker tossed in 20 points for the Bears. Joey Pessina chipped in with 10 points.
Howard (6-8 overall) will host the Freeman Flyers on Friday at 6:15 p.m.
