The Madison Bulldogs will take their entire golf team to the state tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Central Valley Golf Course in Hartford.
The Bulldogs were able to qualify the entire team as they won the Region 1A Tournament in Aberdeen on Monday. Madison finished the 18-hole tournament with a low score of 330, four strokes in front of second-place finisher Dell Rapids (334).
Following the top two teams were Aberdeen Roncalli 340, Sioux Valley 361, Milbank 371, Groton 401, Redfield-Doland 404, Sisseton 414 and Tri-Valley 460.
Tanner Burg was the top golfer for the Bulldogs. He placed second with a 78, just two strokes behind meet medalist Machael Duch of Aberdeen Roncalli, who shot a 76.
Tayler Anderson placed fourth in the meet with an 81.
Brandon Burg was sixth with an 83 and Trae VandenBerg was 14th with an 88.
