South Dakota farm income from crop sales increases
In 2012, all operating income from the crop enterprises accounted for 50.4 percent of the total farm income. This is further broken down into crop sales of 35 percent, crop insurance claims of 13.3 percent, and government payments of 2.1 percent. This is an increase of 9.3 percent over the same categories in 2011.
