The Madison Police believe that an area resident involved in a vehicular accident on Tuesday afternoon may have suffered a seizure while driving on a city street.
The police department reported that Darla Wommack, 60, of Chester driving a 2000 Jeep Cherokee which jumped a curb at the T-intersection of Van Eps Ave. and N.W. 4th St. and struck a residence at 124 N.W. 4th St.
Eyewitnesses told police that the Jeep was driving north at 40-45 mph on Van Eps Ave. at about 3:50 p.m. Wommack was driving the vehicle alone in a residential area with a 20 mph zone.
Wommack was transported to Madison Community Hospital to receive medical attention.
The police report estimated the damage to the vehicle at $7,000. There was no property damage estimate in the accident report.
