Dakota State University Head Coach Jeff Dittman announced the signing of BreeAna Olson of Nunda to join the Lady T's basketball program in 2013-14.

Olson will graduate from Rutland High School next spring.

She is currently having a stellar athletic career with the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland Raiders. Olson averages 16 points, four rebounds, four assists and 4.2 steals per game.

She was named to the Dakota Valley Conference First Team All-Conference twice. In addition, she was selected to the Brookings All-Register Team twice.

Under the guidance of Raiders Coach Sara Holmberg, Olson was named the District 4B Championship Player of the Game her sophomore year. She was chosen the Most Valuable Player twice for the Raiders.

Olson was an All-Conference selection in volleyball and is a successful track and field runner. She qualified for the state track meet each year of high school, in addition to an appearance as an eighth-grader. She was an integral member of the Raiders girls' team that captured Class B state titles in 2010 and 2011, along with runnerup honors in 2012 and a fourth-place finish in 2009.

Besides her athletic accomplishments, Olson is a member of the National Honor Society and listed on the honor roll.

She is the daughter of Reggie and DaNeil Olson.
