The Madison City Commission approved on Thursday signing engagement letters with a Parkston accounting firm to conduct financial reports for the city.
The city commissioners approved hiring Schoenfish & Co., certified public accountants in Parkston, to provide Madison with its fiscal year 2012 annual report and annual audit.
Jennifer Eimers, city finance officer, said that her office had received four bids for the accounting work. Schoenfish & Co. provided a bid of $13,500 to research and write Madison's financial reports.
