The Madison School Board passed several changes to school district policies on Monday night but removed one policy from the revision group that deals with maintaining Wednesday night for religious activities.
The Madison Central School District's "relations with churches" policy, also identified as KMD in the district's files, had appeared on Friday as part of the school board's meeting agenda. The policy, which consisted of one sentence, was struck out as if school officials planned to eliminate the policy.
Tom Farrell, school board president, said the school board members had never intended to delete the policy.
The board members also approved in holding the district's 2013 school board election on April 9, allowing the school district and the city of Madison to hold a combined election.
