Kathy Goodale, Janet Park and Nancy Meyer all have another three years on the Chester School Board.
Each of these incumbent school board members was re-elected Tuesday. They were challenged by three newcomers: Deanna Reiff, Joann Alverson and Janel Brown.
Goodale, who has served on the board for the past three years, received the highest number of votes at 117; Park received 107; and Meyer received 106.
Both Meyer and Park have served on the school board for 15 years.
Prior to the election, each of these candidates said she sought re-election to see the district through its transition with a new administration. Elementary Principal Faith Stratton resigned at the end of the current school year, and Superintendent Mark Greguson ends his position at the end of the month. Additionally, High School Principal Mike Reinhiller this week announced his resignation.
The balance of the election results is as follows: Reiff, 80 votes; Alverson, 61; and Brown, 58.
Seventeen percent of the district voters participated in the election.
