The attorneys in the Lake County "robocall" trial agreed on Monday afternoon to a panel of 13 men and women who will hear testimony in the misdemeanor court case in which Daniel Willard of Sioux Falls is accused of violating state laws regarding election campaigns.
The 13 jurors -- nine women and four men - included one alternate who will be selected later. The jurors ranged in age from their 20s to seniors.
They will hear opening statements for the trial on Tuesday morning in the third-floor courtroom at the Lake County Courthouse. Judge Vincent A. Foley of the Third Circuit Court told the jurors that he expected the trial to last the rest of this week.
The state alleges that Willard, 32, is guilty of "failing to identify the name and address of the maker of a communication within 60 days of an election."
