City to take bids for electrical material
By CHUCK CLEMENT, Staff Reporter

The Madison City Commission will review specifications for purchasing electric utility equipment during its meeting at 5:30 p.m. on Monday at City Hall.

City officials plan to accept bids for electrical materials that include three- and single-phase distribution transformers, power cable, and padmount switches. The city commissioners will also provide a deadline for accepting bids from suppliers.

The commissioners will review two applications -- one from Madison Taxi Service for a taxicab license and a second from St. Thomas Church for a temporary alcohol license.

The commissioners have also scheduled an executive session regarding consultation with legal counsel about proposed or pending litigation or contractual matters.
