Danielle Schwader and Jordon Leighton, both of Mitchell, exchanged wedding vows on July 28 at First Lutheran Church in Mitchell. The Rev. Holly Slater officiated at the afternoon ceremony. Kelsey Schwader, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Chelsea Reisch, Shawna Esser and Melinda Rowe, as well as Kendra Leighton sister of the groom. Tyler Leighton, brother of the bridegroom, was the best man. Groomsmen were Wyatt Walter, brother of the bridegroom; Jeremy Lynde and Jarrett Pridal; and Andrew Schwader, brother of the bride. Aiden Keenan, cousin of the bride, was the ringbearer. Flower girl was McKenna Christ, goddaughter of the bride. The bride's personal attendants were Jennifer Veurink and Melissa Krempges. Ushers were Cale Feller, Austin Gasper, Curtis Krempges and Nathan Johnson. Special guests at the wedding were Duane and Bev Poppen, Pete and Sharon Olson, and Delores Leighton, grandparents of the couple, all from Madison. Following the ceremony, a reception and dance were held at the Highland Conference Center in Mitchell. The bride received an elementary education degree specializing in early childhood from South Dakota State University and is a teacher at Gertie Belle Rogers Elementary School in Mitchell. She is the daughter of Tony and Sandi Schwader of Howard. The bridegroom received an agronomy degree from SDSU and is a district sales manager for Dekalb Asgrow. He is the son of Joe and Julie Walter of Howard and Brian and Kelli Leighton of Madison. The couple took a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, Nev.
