Anderson places second at West Central triangular

The Madison Bulldogs had their second golf meet in as many days on Tuesday. The Bulldogs went to Hartford for an early-season triangular with West Central and Lennox.|
West Central won the triangular with a low score of 318. The Bulldogs were second with a 338 and Lennox had a 420.
Tayler Anderson led the charge for the Bulldogs with a 77 (39-38) and placed second, five strokes behind the meet medalist. Dylan From of West Central carded a 72 to earn medalist honors.
Madison's Trae Vandeberg placed third in the meet with an 80 (39-41).
Madison had two other golfers who placed in the top 10. Tanner and Brandon Burg placed seventh and eighth, respectively. Tanner Burg carded an 88 (39-49) while Brandon Burg shot a 93 (44-49).
Two other golfers participated on the varsity team for the Bulldogs. Bryce Eimers was 11th with a 97 (51-46) and Hunter Jamison was 12th with a 98 (51-47).
Madison won the junior varsity portion of the meet with a 392. West Central shot a 409. Lennox did not have a team.
Eighth-grader Aaron Fiegen led the way for the JV Bulldogs. He fired a 94 (48-46) to claim medalist honors.
Madison had the top three finishers. Following Fiegen were Dylan Zingmark with a 95 (48-47) for second place and Justin Tucek with a 97 (51-46) for third place.
Three other Bulldogs placed in the top 10. Dillon Gross tied for seventh with a 106 (56-50), Lucas Geditz finished ninth with a 108 (52-56), and 10th was Joey Poppen with a 111 (58-53).
Just missing out on a top 10 finish was Jordan Kisor, who finished 11th with a 114 (63-51).
Madison will continue its rugged opening week at Milbank on Thursday for the Milbank Invitational at 10 a.m. This will be the Bulldogs' fourth straight meet of the season, all on the road.
