| Two arrested for vehicle burglaries |

Two men were arrested in Madison early Sunday morning in response to a call from a Madison resident reporting suspicious activity.
According to the Madison Police Department, the two men were found in the 1,000 block of N. Summit Ave. with stolen items in their possession. According to the file in the Clerk of Courts Office, Kleinsasser and Atnip admitted to looking in vehicles on both Lincoln and Summit avenues. Residents along N. Summit or N. Lincoln who have noticed items missing from their vehicles should contact the Police Department to recover their property. According to the report on file in the courthouse, Atnip turned over a couple of CDs, sunglasses, money, a knife and other miscellaneous items that were found in vehicles. Atnip appeared in court on Monday and was charged with five counts of criminal entry of a motor vehicle and with underage consumption of alcohol. His blood alcohol level was .103 at the time of his arrest. He was sentenced to two days in jail and given a $200 fine for each offense, along with a $100 fine for underage consumption. His jail time was to be served concurrently and he was given credit for two days spent in jail. Kleinsasser is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 20. Criminal entry of a motor vehicle is a Class 1 misdemeanor. Underage consumption is a Class 2 misdemeanor.
