Madison man charged with forgery
By CHUCK CLEMENT, Staff Reporter

Adrian Logan, 25, of Madison is scheduled to appear in a Sioux Falls courtroom next month to face charges related to possession of counterfeit currency.

The Minnehaha County State's Attorney Office reported that Logan will appear in court on Feb. 25 for a preliminary hearing on charges of forgery and possession of a forged instrument.

Logan was arrested midafternoon on Thursday after allegedly paying for a soft drink at a Sioux Falls grocery store with a counterfeit $20 bill.

Personnel at the La Tapatia Mexican Grocery on W. 11th St. became suspicious after checking for and not finding security marks on the first $20 bill and a second $20 bill for which Adrian had allegedly asked a cashier to make change.

Sioux Falls police driving by the grocery store were flagged down by store staff as Logan left the scene. Officers with the Sioux Falls Police Department stopped Logan and were able to check his vehicle. They allegedly found two more fake $20 bills and four fake $50 bills in Logan's vehicle.
