The Madison Central School District will need to plan for an election this spring after current board member Ryan Hegg filed his election petition this week. The school district's business office reported Friday (today) that Hegg, a Madison resident, has joined three other men in seeking a three-year term on the school board. Hegg joins current board president Tom Farrell and newcomers Charles R. Moore and Rick Reyes as candidates in the April 9 election. The school board has three seats currently held by Farrell, Hegg and Paul Weist up for election in 2013. The school district joins the city of Madison in holding a combined April election. Four men have shown an interest in running as candidates in Madison's mayoral race with Roy Lindsay submitting his completed petition forms on Thursday. Myron Moen, Paul Michael Weist (Paul Weist's son) and Dale Davis also took out petitions for the mayor's election.
