A former Madison resident and his family are recovering after a Sioux Falls accident last week.
Stephen Wolf and his wife Amenna were driving on 41st St. on Thursday when their vehicle was struck from behind by a driver traveling between 65 and 100 miles per hour.
Wolf's father Bruce said that his son and daughter-in-law were on a trip to get valentines from the Dollar Store with three of their children ages 6, 1 and 3 months.
Funds have been set up under the name of "Wolf Family Fund" at Home Federal Bank and Wells Fargo for freewill contributions to help with mounting medical bills.
Bruce Wolf said the two youngest children escaped injury, and the six-year-old spent two days in the hospital to monitor head injuries.
Stephen Wolf is recovering from injuries that include a fractured spine, broken ribs and a concussion.
Amenna Wolf, who had unbuckled just prior to the accident to attend to the baby, ended up in the back of the Durango. She is being treated for a broken back and shoulder injuries.
