03/12/2013 Car, skid steer collision sends one to hospital By CHUCK CLEMENT, Staff Reporter The Lake County Sheriff's Department responded to an injury accident call on Tuesday morning (today) several miles east of Nunda. The two-vehicle accident occurred at 6:35 a.m. on 223rd St. near its intersection with 463rd Ave. Clinton Joel Overskei, 32, of rural Nunda was driving a New Holland skid steer loader on 223rd St. in the direction of a crop field when he was struck from behind by George Burns, 64, of Nunda. Overskei reported that he was traveling at about 9 mph when he was struck by Burns, who was reportedly driving at 50 mph. Burns was transported to Madison Community Hospital for treatment to his injuries. Overskei was not transported from the scene. Burns' 2006 Toyota Corolla was listed as totaled. The accident is still under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff's Office.
